This morning I was out shooting my M-P 240. I have been using a Voigtlander Nokton II 50/1.5 lens with no problems. I decided to take the lens off to clean it and now when I went to reattach it, it does not click in place. I have never had this problem. I then attached the same lens to my Leica M-A and had no problem, it clicked in place and showed the proper frame lines 50/75. Bummer. Any ideas?

will a different lens mount correctly on your M-P 240?

Don't have any other M mount lens but the body cap does not click into place either.

Is the locking tab moving freely when you press the lens release? Might need to be exercised or cleaned.

Both might be (camera lens flange & lens bayonet) at the edges of their tolerances. Have you tried mounting and un-mounting several times gently as an exercise?
