You're welcome ;-p
I have never had razors confiscated - but I have flown to my destination more than once and then discovered my Leatherman multi-tool with a 3" knife blade in the bottom of my camera bag, which I had carried onboard the plane after it had been x-rayed and passed TSA inspection.I used to have a job were I did a lot of traveling. I can't tell you the number of times some high school dropout - now TSA agent game me crap for something harmless in my bag. I swear you give someone with low self esteem a uniform and a little authority and they abuse it all they can.
I've gotten Letterman tools through TSA at the same time have had disposible razors confsicated. There is no rhyme or reason for why they do what they do. It's all about abuse of power.
Political correctness and the fear of racial profiling has gotten us in this situation.
You know, I can just imagine some Roman border guard, around 450AD, saying to a citizen: "You can't bring that cart through here, unless you take the axle off it. You might use it as a club to hit someone."
Meanwhile, his mate's waving through a bunch of German tribesmen carrying swords and axes, on account of their leader, a bloke called Odoacer, being ever so polite and calling the guard "sir".
🙄
You might want to stop using automotive transportation, much more dangerous 😱Actually, when I can, I fly with a company known to have tighter security, which induces more delays and waiting.
I'm no masochist...
I would rather arrive late in one piece than land in a skyscrapper right on schedule.
No but on the occasion, I choose a safer , slightly longer road over the more direct one.You might want to stop using automotive transportation, much more dangerous 😱

If you think of who really benefits of the "airport security" it is the organizations running the airports, people have to come well in advance of the shedule, spend useless time on the airports, wander inside tax free area spending their money. There is excess of personnels working. stopping people and asking questions, checking their luggage. The same happens over here... In harbors of scandinavia there arrives 4-5 cruise ships every day with 2000-3000 people each on board, plus all the other liners. Helsinki alone is a transit route of about15.000-25.000 persons EACH DAY that pass the customs. There is no waiting on the harbors because there are computers that check the details of people arriving IN ADVANCE ! The suspicious ones can be pulled from the line and not harass the normal/OK people. I think the TSA is a bad joke and very bad for US relations with other nations.I love flying. I hate airports. I don't fly commercially any more because of the security nonsense. Airport security is a placebo and largely a joke, but it makes the public feel good. Fortunately, I don't have to fly for business. Flying is safer than driving per passenger-mile travelled because of the strict maintenance requirements for the equipment and stringent qualifications for the pilots and crews. If we were really concerned about highway traffic safety, we'd have regular "driver testing" rather than occasional "parking testing."
I can't begin to express my disdain for the ridiculous ideas that have spawned the TSA. I have nothing but respect for those poor folks who have become employees who want to try to make air travel safety, but the very premises under which the agency operates are false.
1. Attach a length of rubber tube to the rocket blower
2. "This, sir, is my colonoscope. May I demonstrate its use to you?"
So you cannot take a 16oz bottled warter past the TSA but once inside the bording area you can buy that same $1 bottle of water for $3.50, I think something more than security is at work here.
I'm so sick of flying that I'm seriously considering taking Greyhound for my next trip accross the country.
We take empty bottles to fill after passing security.🙂
another perspective on TSA procedures.
