“digital“ look. This was my first day out with it. I imagine it would be much worse with a yellow filter. There’s no tonal gradient. I see many many digital b/w photos with this look and I don’t like it. I understand it can’t be avoided in harsh lighting but this scene was ideally lit.
Hmmm, is this a camera generated jpeg? I'm not sure about the M10M but on other Leica digital cameras I've used the in-camera jpeg has a bit of a bumped up contrast. I wonder if you'd like it more starting with the raw file and/or backing off contrast a little.
It was DNG in Lr unedited just cropped. Down sized and converted to jpg in PS no sharpening. Modern lenses made firmly in the digital era are high contrast and high resolution. Nothing wrong with that. From shooting with a M10M I prefer a tonal scale from older lenses. The 21mm Summilux is I think 20 years old. That said, color performance is better with said modern era lenses.
