Tumblr themes - help please!

Hello all,

I've decided to try out Tumblr, but am overwhelmed with the multitude of themes and such. I'm looking for something simple and minimalistic (like "ultrazen" and "linear") - suggestions? Any features you like/don't like?

Also, who here likes infinite scrolling? I find it crashes my browsers on the ipad.

I like these two themes very much.

My blog is based off of the "clear" theme. Another theme that I like is whatever this guy is using, http://manuelpandalispure.tumblr.com/ I'm not sure what it is though...

I like infinite scrolling but I'm not sure what the consensus is. I don't have an ipad/iphone...but does my blog crash? If it does, then I can easily change it to pages with this theme.

Thanks so much for the suggestions.... Flickr is the only site I've used extensively for the past several years. I'm a novice at all these other photo sharing sites (aside from instagram).

Not knowing any html, or any cyber-technical stuff, the simpler the better!

btw, does Tumber do side scrolling? Can't seem to find a theme that does.

I eventually had to create my own theme because I wasn't totally satisfied with any of the available ones. Here's my tumblr blog.stefanomattia.it.

I use the "Quite Big" theme (heavily customized) on my tumblr, its great for photos. I've also thought about using Kodiak (paid side scroller), but I cant get past my aversion to "side scroll" and "paid". It is the nicest side scroller Ive seen for Tumblr tho... if youre into that kinda thing.

I wanted a horizontal scroll theme too. In my findings all of those available are flawed in some way, such as simply cluttered looking or didn't allow images larger than maybe 600px high.

I like HI-RES by JSTN...yes its a paid one but its customisable, allows for the biggest images on tumblr and you can make it look really minimal. Id be willing to share my code if you want to try.

Thanks so much everyone for your input/suggestions. So far I've settled on Ultrazen theme, but will definitely keep all the above in mind as I get more familiar with Tumblr (Thanks Harry for offering to share your code - very much enjoyed your photos).
