I wanted to share a little from my recent trip to Turkey (and Bulgaria and Romania - but those will come later). We chose to drive around Turkey rather than just going to one place and staying there. Trip was filled with fun and adventures. As well as many pictures. For this trip I had with me 3 cameras - Hexar RF - most used and proved to be very reliable and easiest to use; Leica M5 - was used a little, mostly as a back-up for different film ; and a Welta Weltur 6x6 - for my occasional Medium Format needs. I dont have all the pictures back from developing yet. And ones I do have - not all scanned. I didnt use any digital cameras - that was my wife's department. So I went purely film. This made things a bit challenging, but all in all - worked out well. Mostly due to the lenses I took: M- Hexanon 50/1.2 - most used one - great lens thats good for any light. I had mostly ISO 100 and 200 film with a few 400, so having a fast lens really helped me out. Other lenses were - ZM 21/2.8 and M-Hexanon 28/2.8. ZM 21 was a great companion to Hex 50/1.2, while Hex 28 was a very nice option to walk around with if i didnt want to carry much - just one camera with 1 lens on it.
One lens I wish I had - something longer - either Hex 90/2.8 or Nikkor 10.5cm/2.5 for some situations where I wanted to isolate things and 50 was not long enough. But otherwise my selection of gear worked well.
So, as I said - I dont have all the pics back/scanned yet, but here are a few to give a taste:

Wow, just wonderful. Looking forward to the Bulgaria photos. I was scheduled to go there in the Spring, but the trip was canceled by a VP who ... never mind.

excellent shots. congrats.
I enjoy seeing your nice Istanbul photos (Sultan Ahmet, then Aya Sofia?) reminding me when I was there many years ago. Look forward to more photos from your driving around.

We seem to be getting more and more travel threads here at RFF. With the spring - summer travel season coming on, it's giving me the travel bug. Good pics, Krosya, but I for one, would appreciate just a tag line's worth of identification for some of these places. Looks like you had to make the best of the rainy - cloudy season. Any black and white work? I, too, love photographing in Turkey, especially in the month of April when all the flowers bloom.

We did catch a few sunny days, - we were there back in September and I'm just now catching up on some scanning, etc. These pics are mostly from the Istanbul. here are a few more:
