Tuscany with a Hasselblad?

I didn't take the 500CM in the end - I used a Zeiss Ikon and Nex-3 with a variety of lenses. An excellent travel combination.

I decided that the Hasselblad rewards time and contemplation to get the most out of it - with the group of friends I was with there was never going to be too much of that.

I'll take it next time.

Saw this thread too late... I went to Tuscany last year. Took the Leica kit and a Rolleiflex with me. I got more keepers with the Rollei :)

On a trip like that (trans-continental) I would take 35mm and MF gear. I would not however necessarily carry both at once, but rather fit the camera to the task. MF would be for a solitary walk, or drive in the country. 35mm for times with friends when engaged primarily in other activities.

I took my Hasselblad and 3 lenses on my trip to New Mexico last month. I also took a Leica and lenses, which barely got used. I shot 3 rolls of 35mm black and white film and 40 rolls of color 120 size film.
