Is it for guys like me, "Russians" and blond? 🙂

"R" is for "Infrared". Taking into account focus shift when using IR film.

On some lenses the mark is in red.

Hi,
And before the second IR mark they'd tell you to line up with the triangle and then move the scale to a f number on the DoF scale, if I remember correctly, it was the f/6.3 on one of my old lenses.
