Anyone have any practical experience processing Tri-x at 640 in Rodinal at a 1:100 dilution? I lookd on the massive dev chart and there's seemingly quite a bit of contradictory info up there for the 1:100 dilution, or at least proof that everyone's water is different...
I recently did a bunch of tests with tri-x at 3200 semi stand development and wound up at about 32 minutes or so, this backing down in increments from up to 60 minutes from what I researched online. What worked best was about a twenty minute stand, then one inversion then another 10 minutes, pretty interesting look. Couldnt use it for everything, but really cool none the less.
At any rate, based on my last few weeks working with that, Im guessing that at 640, 20 minutes is probably in the ballpark with minimal agitation. Just curious if anyone has fiddled with this and if you have a good starting point.
thanks!

not specifically what your asking, i have used TX400 @800 in Rodinal 1+50 for 16.5min, which is the starting point per Massive Dev chart. i do like the effect for the subject, as per that chart.

I haven't tried Tx 640 and Rodinal 1:100, but I used to shoot it at 800 and do it in Rodinal 1:100 and continious agitation (I use an old color drum "spinner" that does two turns one way and then reverses for two turn) - I usually did it for 15-16 min and though on the thin side, the negs printed well. My normal time for 1/2 stop under with Tx (640) in Rod 1:50 was around 12 min, with agitation every min. with three turns (Paterson 5 reel tanks).

I wouldn't do TX in 1:100 at anything other than EI 250 or so. If you increase agitation, you will get grain that may not be to your liking. Merciful (Andrew Murphy) is the king of TX pushed (hard!) in Rodinal. His dilution is 1:50. I have never been able to duplicate his results, but I keep trying. I'd go for 1:50 @20C, 20 min with gentle agitation scheme ... for a start.
