That sometimes spoil everything??

Well here's my latest oops i did it again, while i was taking the last frame of the film, i noticed something wierd, i'm not able to press the shutter down and there for i won't be able to unload the film...I didn't udnerstand at 1st and i thought there was something wrong with the camera...Because while loading the film, i made sure that it was well put...

Surprise surprise, the roll slipped from its place, and all this shooting while walking under the hot sun of this morning was gone with the wind...

I'm not that upset because i enjoyed it, i really enjoyed it, and i got to be familiar with many people, fishermen, horsemen, and some sellers...

But it was too damn stupid :bang: And i didn't it the 1st time i've loaded a camera with a film, the 2nd time i thought i'd never do that again :bang:

After 20-odd years of photography paranoia, I've nearly worn a groove in my thumb from constantly checking and tightening the rewind-knob tension to make sure the film is transporting correctly. Part of my loading procedure is to hold my thumb on the rewind knob while advancing the film to the first frame.

Dime-store film doesn't go as Castor Oil through a sick kid through the Prominent. It RIPS, GNASHES and TEARS.

I too check the rewind constantly. Even when I know the MP has taken it up correctly, I'll STILL look at the two red dots as they sping.

I, also, always watch the rewind knob when advancing film. Just yesterday I picked up some film from a wedding I shot over the week end. One developing envelope said 0 exposures NO Charge. I got this very sick feeling in the pit of my stomach.

Then I realized that I had turned in a couple of rolls of found film from cameras that I had bought. This roll was one of the found film.

I felt much better, even though I was disappointed in O images.

When I was shooting for a newspaper years ago, I always left the rewind crank out on my Nikon -- a very visual indicator when the film was moving trough the camera.

The funny thing, that the rewind knob was kinda loose and the shutter didn't sound right, but i didn't pay much attention to that, although i knew it, untill i discovered what i've done!
