According to one of Nhat's recent blogs, Those people that have the Leica are just doing it for show - it doesn't affect the contest.

The ONLY criteria is that you have Chris as your friend.

If you click on the green box here on RFF, and then the page comes up with the blonde chic and the M7 asking you to join, All you have to do is sign up and you are entered. When your page comes up you will notice several friends, Chris is one of them. All you have to do is click on Chris and his page will come up and you will then see the header ADD FRIEND. Click on that and you will be added. Pretty simple.

Stupid marketing gimicks that put me off.

Basically, he wants the most people to join, create somekid of a buzz and probably sell the site. IMO.

I agree that Myspace is a POS to look at. However, the sheer number of active users there is mind blowing. If you want to market something to that specific age group, it's a great tool. This fact, you can't argue against.
