They are indeed great shots posted by everyone!

Here is one of mine, taken three weeks ago in Cumbria before it all started to get ridiculous.

Unfortunately, I am now on the other side of the world and there is no snow.

Where abouts was that Phil ...Loughrigg ?

Great catch Michael! It is indeed Loughrigg. We were fortunate enough to be staying in a house right under Loughrigg and probably the two days I enjoyed most photographically were the two I spent wandering its trails.

Thank you BTW for all your great advice earlier, before we left. It certainly helped with planning and ensured my family and I had an amazing time.

Merry Christmas to you, and to all.

Great shots, BTW PED and malcd.

Great photos everyone. Unfortunately the snow and chaos it caused at Heathrow meant that my flight home from the US was canceled. I couldn't get on another one that would get me home before Boxing Day and now I'm spending another Christmas away from family :-(

In Feb here in DC we had a mega snowstorm.

That's just too bad. Christmas is a family thing.

I'll not bore you all with pictures from Norway, as a snowy winter is the rule, rather than exception. However, this year we've not had too much of it. Its been too cold. November was the coldest in 91 years in Oslo, and the coldest in Trondheim in over 200 years. And its got colder since then. Where I live in the south, its been 15 - 20 below 0C for ages now, and there are areas colder still with temperatures down in the 30's below freezing. Not ideal for old cameras.
