Ullrich and Basso banned from Tour de France

I have to say that I agree with Fitzi. The tours are about who can cheat and not get caught.

Googling the news this morning, I found a new report saying that one of the tests on Landis' urine sample found 'synthetic' testosterone, which would be the nail in the coffin, I'm afraid.

Yup -- that would leave as the only possible defense (assuming the B sample is positive) that the A sample was tampered with. This is really depressing me.

hi,

to the contrary: the conclusion is he was taking a illegal performance enhancing drug.

Please see this site for a good explanation about the natural vs illegal testosterone.

It's official now, the B-sample is positive. Just wondering what his explanation will be in the next press conference

Likely, something along the lines of 'someone put it in my food, or someone massaged a testosterone cream into my legs'.

He should just come clean, take the 2 year ban, and try to rehabilitate his reputation, if possible.

Please not a toothpaste-story again, we already had that :bang:
His attorney will declare that Landis has a unnatural high testosterone production, the scientists are just dumb because they are not able to difference beetween natural and synthetic testosterone and know s...t about endocronology.

I'm sure it's all about the truth and has absolutely nothing to do with € 450.000 price money........
