Ultrafine Xtreme Black & White Film ISO 400

Nice light. What are the pins indicating?

Marty

Thank you, Marty! It was mid-morning light was through our patio door, and reflected up off the hardwood floors. You can't quite tell from the monochrome image, but there are four different colored pins. One color for places I've visited, one for places my wife has visited, one for places we've visited together, and one for places we'd like to travel to.

I see pins in Chad, Mali and maybe Mauritania. If you have been there, please post the photos! Or, even better, post a high res scan of a trichrome of the map!

As a child I had a National Geographic Map above my bed. I can still picture it. Thanks for this.

Good eye, Marty! I was a Peace Corps volunteer in Chad, and spent two years living there from 2003-2005. My username is taken from the name of the town (Dourbali) where I lived and worked as an English teacher. During my service, I got the opportunity to visit Mali, where my good friend was also serving as a Peace Corps volunteer.

I do have photos from my time in Chad, but that's another topic for a different thread. ;)

EDIT: March 1, 2021 happened to be the 60th anniversary of the Peace Corps, so I started a new thread for said topic:
