I have been playing around underexposing photos. I thought a W/NW Words no Words thread might be a nice way to see others underexposed photos.
These are the local harbor. The ships are moored at the docks being repaired over the long winter.
The last one is the grain elevator.

they look fine to me. shadow detail is overrated, these are moody, effective photos. more than be said of a lot of people's "properly" exposed photos.
there's rarley only one correct exposure for a scene anyway.
I especially like the first picture in the second post.

This thread just goes to prove that, in the right hands, departure from "correct" or "normal" can be stunningly effective. Great photos Maiku, Redisburning and Lynn!
