Just wanted to say a very big THANK YOU to you guys. Peter for playing tourguide and organizer, Guy for making the trek north and playing cab driver, Mike for graciously picking up Dinner, and Frank for helping keep the peace when the dinner conversation turned to politics! You guys are great and the rff is fortunate to have you as active members. I look forward to a return visit and please know that you guys are welcome to visit me in California any time. And when you do, I promise to gather up a bunch of San Francisco Bay Area rff members to welcome you there.
Thanks again,
Randy

Thanks, Zen-shooter. Yep, we had a great time. Taking shots, talking gear, keeping the waitress wondering what 5 old guys in the corner fondling hardware were all about... And thanks again for sending "the package." I'll let you know on Monday if it arrived safely.

Yep, I had a great time too, eating, drinking, talking. Especially nice to meet more and more RFF members like Randy in person. Trius, I would not judge him (Randy) so harshly.

No, Earl's right....I'm a thug, and proud of it!
As always, what a great time....it never ceases to amaze me how quickly RFFers talk like old chums within minutes of meeting....there wasn't a subject we didn't cover. Bodies, lenses, film, enlargers, chemicals, copiers, the RFF...you name it, we talked about it. Even the politics was...what's the word I'm looking for here....lively?
Hope to see you again some time Randy, and if Mr. Chertoff changes my 'persona non grata' status in the US I'll certainly come down to see you!
Cheers,
Mike

Randy stopped by Port Credit this morning for breakfast before heading to the airport to return to Palo Alto. Eduard, who lives in nearby Etobicoke, joined us as well.
On the table: Eduard's Nikon FM3a, Randy's Leica M6, my Kiev 4a
We tried to do some shooting after breakfast but the wind had an icy edge to it this morning so we abandoned the idea and went to Starbucks for a caffeine chaser
