Update Firefox Now

I am update to .04 but not any faster. Roboform is now working...kind of.

I have to be honest though. I am kind of with Steve here. I am not to sure why everyone is all worked up over how protected my system is. I'm small fry. The biggest releases of any of my sensitive information have not occurred through my computer. They are happening on big corporation systems that are not properly secured.

I think we should be able to sue the pants off any corporation who allows our data to be released to hackers. I'm pretty sure they would come up with a way to protect things without blaming it on my little laptop.

I got rid of Firefox a long time ago, as it was becoming bloated and slow. My go to browsers now are old versions of Pale Moon and Seamonkey, both of which I never update. I don't buy into all the scare stories about security issues. Just be careful of which websites you go to. I even got rid of my antivirus software, which really speeded things up nicely. No issues whatsoever.

Certainly to each his own. I am a security wannabe and try to keep up with all the latest things going on. It is true it is worth keeping security as up to date as possible. It is also possible that as a home user, you are not as likely to get hacked. And even if you do, if you don't leave a lot of worthwhile things to exploit, you will likely be left alone quickly.

I personally try to keep my patches up to date, don't keep things worthwhile to steal, stay away from questionable URLs, and floss twice a day. So far it is working.

What if malicious people, even malicious governments, were using your insecure computer as a zombie device to remotely launch threats and attacks against others? How would you know your little laptop is not part of an illegal network designed to attack institutions you cheerish?
