Updated RFF to the latest software

Thankfully VBP354+ enlarges the body text as well using MS Explorer 6.029 on my 1920 x 1200 screen.

It was much too small for comfort before, but is now acceptable. Returning to the site seems to retain the VBP354+ setting as well which is good.

Same prob as others - the "+" scheme enlarges some but not all of the text, esp. the body text. I deleted all cookies and restarted my browser (FireFox) as per the instructions.

The body font to be larger as it's difficult to read on my 1600 x 1200 res. screen...

Same here...

Still having issues although cookies were deleted and browser closed and reopened starting anew.

And here's a copy of the error message:
Error, Invalid Home Module If you followed a valid link, please notify the webmaster

Well after posting my message above. It's not really O.K. after all.

I can alter the body text size in this forum using VBP354 to VBP354+ and back, but its not making any difference to the body text size in other forums, I am stuck with the same small font using VBP354 & VBP354+. This forum was where I made the initial alteration following Jorge's advice and this forum (only) retains the enlarge text on return. Seems it must be a bug Jorge?

Just found that when I save my reply message the text size drops by itself even though VBP354+ is still selected. It will not alter back to the larger size changing up & down in the drop list, but it will if I go to the home page and then re-enter this forum?

Same here, Im sure Jorge is working on it. If I click the banner at the top of the page that seems to work everytime for taking me to the home page.I like the new quick reply box.Though the white is a little jarring. Maybe Gray?

I have tried deleting cookies twice and still can not see the home page if I am logged in. This is with Firefox 1.5 & Safari on Mac OS X 10.4.6

Jorge, for those of us over 40, please increase the font size! The larger font option at the bottom of the page only changes the font as I type in a post, the posts that I (try to) read, are still tiny.

This is one big headache! With the font size in the main body, my time spans here will be shortened considerably. In addition, the way the threads open now is a very big negative. Previously, selecting a thread would take me to where I last left off. Am I missing the option to revert to this behavior?

Hmm the bright new reply box is a little shocking, active threads are no longer in bold on my browser (latest firefox on mac 10.4.6) so I have no idea what threads have new replies like I could before. And the font is tiny!!

Am I missing something really good about the new s/w? So far I'm being very negative 🙁

I am definetly working on the font size. It will come shortly. Alsom there is a bug where some people get a module error which I need to resolve.

Another data point. If I select a thread from the Active Threads page, I am taken to the point in the thread I last looked at. If I select the New Posts page, I am always taken to the start of the thread.

I have a question. When I click on new posts I am seeing about 5 or six new posts listed. Is there a way to have more recent posts shown? Is there something I can change in my personal settings?
Just curious, thanks.

The problem with module error should be fixed now. Please try it again.

In a nutshell, certain usergroups did not have a home page. Now that one has been assigned to each user group, it should work.

Thanks

JT

In your CP under options there is a how many threads per page to show option. Set it there and save your changes.

for some reason none of the "post" options are active anymore for me (font, bold, smilies, include image, etc), in either Explorer or Firefox... is this a firewall issue? Java?

Hi Jorge,
The text is much better now. Many thanks. The only thing I find less user friendly is when you post using quote. Under the old site, you could see most of the recent posts so it was easy to refer back to. Now, it is just the text you have quoted so you need to open up another window with the thread in it and swap backwards and forwards. Any way of seeing the "thread" as before?
