Urgent: What do you think of the Skopar 28mm F3.5?

I have been thinking about getting the color skopar 28mm F3.5.
I want to get it tomorrow.

Here's the deal,
I already have the Ultron 1.9/28. (goodie good good lens it is).
Several years ago, I had the Ricoh GR1s. It was superb.
Compact, sharp, really sharp, lovely saturation.

Now I am thinking of getting a smaller, more compact 28mm.
Something that is close the GR 28mm F2.8.

So what you think of the skopar 28mm?

Is there anyone here who have experience with both GR 28mm and Skopar 28/3.5?

Is it good? I want to get it tomorrow.

I have this lens, it is very small and sharp. Some say it can be too contrasty though. I like it.

I quite like mine, although I haven't used it much. It's quite contrasty. Here's a couple of my pictures taken with it on an M6, the first is Tri-X, the second Fuji Acros.

No doubt one of the best lenses that CV built. And it makes sense
to have both Color Skopar and Ultron - at least to me 🙂

I have the Skopar and love it. As others have noted, it is very sharp, very contrasty, and very compact. It also feels very solid and well made. I use mine all the time.

It's possibly my favourite out of my CV lenses - small, sharp, but possibly a bit contrasty for some people.

Sorry I can't compare it with any other RF 28s though, but I've never used any.

If decide you want one, send me a PM. I just bought one a couple of months ago to use on my RD1. Now thinking I would prefer an older era lens with less contrast for digital.

Contrast is strong but not objectionable. There are a couple 28/3.5 photos in my gallery here. With a color film like NPS, it's very effective and as sharp as you could want.

I do have three of them! One chrome for use on a IIIg, a black one for the M2's and the S version for Nikon Rf's. It is out of production now, but at least I am set.
In my opinion it is one of the best 28's made by anyone and it ranks right up there as one of my favourite lenses of all time. It has a quality in balck/white that is something to behold. Sharp enough, but thats not why I love it. It is the tonality it shows with black/white film. It is built like the proverbial out-house, very "dense" lens, but small and easy to use. Pick one up now while they still are available, rather than wait for having to chase them down on Classified's or E-bay. It is also small enough to fit in a pocket as a "walk about" wide and couple with a 21/4 on a R4M/A you are set.

Interestingly, that's exactly what I've been toting around Thailand for the past month - an M6 with a 28/3.5, and an R4A with a 21/4 (and a 50/2.5 in the bag). It's a great combination.

I would like to thank everyone for their input!
I bought the lens today.

I agree, it is compact, small, dense, and feels like a little chunk of metal/copper in my hands.

I can't wait to get some shots from it!

Now that I am home, with the Ultron 1.9/28 next to it, I can understand why there is Skopar 28. Compared to it, it's so much smaller, more compact go everywhere!
