US-made bags for RFs?

I like to shop local or US if I can, with no ill will to the rest of the world! I second the recommendation of San Francisco's Rickshaw...I have a custom zero messenger with a made to fit insert by Martilena.com

Mine is a medium but the small would work for a small rangefinder or mirrorless kit!

I'm generally an advocate for using regular bags (fishing/hunting, briefcase, man-purse, messenger, etc.) & then customizing them for photo use w/inserts rather than purpose-made camera bags.

I have examples of the already-mentioned Courierware & Moop bags, & they are both excellent, well-made products, but my main "camera" bags are the Chrome Mini-Metro messenger bags, which are made in the USA (Chrome's purpose-made camera bags, & many of their other products, are made in China).

The reason is not political, it's just that it's easier to build a marketing story around a small craft-oriented American craftsperson (or small business) than it is a foreign company or craftsperson.

It's great when you wanna do some Ride-n-shoot around town. I'd put a couple of cameras in the rear pockets so I can reach them quick. It takes the Brompton's bracket.

Nice, Sug! It's a bit larger than I had in mind, but the design and workmanship looks good. Perhaps I'll give them a call and take a ride up to the city.

Did they have a compatible with Brompton bag mount or did you have to supply that part? Right now I have just the simple Brompton big basket, which is fine for shopping and I can drop any camera bag I want into it, but it's a bit awkward when not on the bicycle and much larger than I usually need.

That's a sweet bicycle-bag combo! Pity that it looks like the price might be closed to that of a Cervelo Time Trial bike... 😉 I immagine a lineup of Leicas Ms with exotic glasses in that bag.

There is always the off the peg Brompton S bag ( from the Netherlands - not US made )

Sug - Great choice my Brompton is also Raw Lacquer ( S6-X )

I have a CO-PILOT for my iPad and such. Great bag.

I did contact them about making a smaller bag for camera gear and they said they did not have any plans to do so, but they might if enough people show an interest.

Are Tenbas no longer made in the USA? I know that not all are/were, but they used to have a factory in NYC. Still do, for all I know. Excellent bags.
