Given the raves that 1:1 finders draw, it was with great confidence that I ordered the 50mm Voigtlander finder for my Bessa-T.

I've now used it for a while and must say that I have somewhat mixed feelings about it. Agreed, it's nice looking, extremely well built, and I've yet to discover any distortion. But there's one things that bothers me a bit about it, and that's that I have to more or less stick it in my eye to see the entire view including the brightlines.

Am I doing something wrong? How do you look through the finder?

i stick it (sbooi) up to my glasses. did you get the tapered one for the heliar anniversary set? that's supposed to have less eye relief. the normal one has more.

try placing your thumb under the viewfinder and resting your cheekbone on it to hold your eye in place.

You're the king! I tried it over the weekend, and this indeed makes it a lot easier to look through the finder. Not only the 50, but it works for the 25 finder as well.. Thanks for the suggestion. 🙂
