I have a preorder into Amazon for the 18-55 lens for a while now and have been noticing that there are a few XE-1 kits showing up under used sales there. Some with the 35mm lens, some with the 18-55 and some with the camera only. I have tried to buy one for 2 days now but they would be gone before I could complete the proper mouse clicks. Today I found one with the 18-55 for 1100.00 and managed to get it.
Amazon says delivery by next Wednesday. I hope it is not a scam but Amazon protects me from fraud. We will see... It only made sense to go this way because I had the lens on order for 699.00 and it is a small jump to the kit for 1100.00. I wanted both the lens for travel and the camera due to the fact that it has an electronic shutter release allowing me to connect it to my lightning trigger and water drop controller. I already have the X Pro 1 with all of the fuji lenses and 2 CV M mount lenses so I already know and love the system.
Has anyone else jumped this way? I personally don't care if it is grey market or not because I can purchase a warranty if needed. The seller is in the US and I do not know where he got the camera but have asked him.

If they are legit... It could be the demos that are now coming back from all the reviewers.

I would speculate these are gray market units that are currently on sale in Asia.
