Used Leica MP Pricing?

Man, I'd love to jump on that, but I'm a bit hesitant because it's an overseas purchase...does anyone know what kind of taxes may apply for importing to the States?

I looked this up before I bought my epson rd1 from Robert White. If I'm remembering correctly, there is no duty on imported film cameras. You do get dinged by the credit card company.

That's a good point 35mmdelux. I'd prefer to find a black MP, and there's no need to jump the gun on the purchase. Being said....the link posted is in my price range, and it's so hard to resist.

AFAIK there is no import duty on still camera equipment coming in to the US. I bought a dSLR from Ffordes in Scotland last week, they subtracted the VAT from the price and I paid no tax. mwooten is correct, your CC company is delighted to ding you with a finance charge for the foreign transaction. It is worth buying from the UK at the moment as the $ is way up against the £. With the great exchange rate and a dealer sale I got the dSLR for 29% of the price at B&H in NYC on the same day (I just worked that out :D).

Yup, it was a la carte MP they had for sale. I guess a customer ordered it from them and decided they didn't want it. Or maybe they just ordered one for the store.
