Hi all,
I'm going to London next week to buy an M2 (or maybe M4) and maybe a Color Skopar 35mm.
I know of the following shops. Any others to recommend?
Red Dot
Aperture
Richard Caplan
Thanks!

There's also:
The Classic Camera http://theclassiccamera.com/
and if you have time, it's well worth paying Reg a visit at High Street Radio and Photographic. These days he's a bit of an internet celeb

Edit Oops, should have read your bit about 'recommending'. High Street Radio and Photographic are great, I've not used The Classic Camera for a number of years, but wasn't too impressed back then!

It certainly looks like Red Dot get good recommendations. I'll take a look at the websites before I go and plan a route based on that.
Thanks all.
Thanks all.
I tried to buy from MW Classic Cameras in London some months ago.The website seems to be down and they may be gone. I thought they were unprofessional in approach and don't feel able to offer a recommendation.

Peter Loy is excellent , I bought an M2 and several lenses over the past year or so. Grading is spot on. I've only dealt with him over the phone/ email, not sure if he has a shop front as such.

Mr Cad's new store is nice and easy to find, and the window display is something to behold. You may struggle with Leica and Voigtlander there though, I'd suggest checking his stock online beforehand. He's a lovely guy, but a tough negotiator. You'll get a great conversation if nothing else!
Aperture is always my first call. Got my Color Skopar 35 there around 12 months ago, and their gradings are always bang on. Fair prices too, with most bodies having been checked by their experienced techs and serviced if necessary. Again, great conversation. Unfortunately they have barely any Voigtlander stock at the moment.
Other used suppliers worth checking online beforehand are London Camera Exchange (you can set the used search on their site to The Strand store to be sure), and Camera World. Neither specialise in Leica but are worth a look as their customer service has always been very good in my experience.
Happy hunting!
