User's Manual/Instruction Booklet/Service Manual for Konica II?

Anyone know where I can find a user's manual for a Konica II? I have a Konica II that my parents gave me around 1956 when I was in high school. Used it once in a while over the years, and took some good photos with it while stationed in France and Germany. Shot mostly Plus-X and Tri-X with it back then, and my wife and I would develop it ourselves at the Photo Hobby Shop on post. Usually used the settings recommended on the film's data sheet, or experimented some with different exposure settings --- had fun, and got some nice photos in our memory book. Without a manual, I learned to use the camera mostly by trial and error, some intuition, and what I could glean from generalized "how to" books on photography.

Still complete with original leather case and lens cap.

Took it to a camera repair shop here in San Antonio several years ago and had it cleaned, lubed, checked out, re-adjusted and calibrated. Works nice and smooth, have been shooting mostly Kodak Gold 200 in it these days and let the shops with C-41 Process labs do it for me. (Unfortunately, that takes half the fun away.)

Would appreciate being steered in the right direction to get a copy of the manual(s).

I might have something else bookmarked, but I thought this might help for now. I have and use the Konica I. My camera has the same Hexanon lens as your II, it produces very nice images.

Thanks for the reply. I've been to the mediajoy site and it does have some interesting general information on the camera. I have that web page saved as a .pdf file in my Konica folder. My Google search did turn up some guy in the UK who has copies for sale, but he wants an OUTRAGEOUS price for them. I know there are some sites that have manuals available to download for free. I've downloaded some manuals for my other cameras --- Argus C3, Minolta 16II, Minolta 16EE, a couple of SLR cameras and Polaroid cameras. The sites with the manuals are out there, but one really has to dig for them.

By the way, I noticed you have a couple of Argus C3's. Are there any forums for the C3? --- Haven't found any yet, and not in the rangefinderforum.

Yes, the Hexanon 50/2.8 lens does produce some excellent images. I've always used my old 1950's-vintage hand-held GE PR-1 lightmeter for setting exposures on my manual cameras ---- It still works GREAT, just the leather case needs a little repair.

I have a lot of fun shooting with my Argus C4. So far I have gone through and CLAd one of the C3s, but haven't shot any film yet. I use an old GE meter too. It is a model 8DW58 that still gives accurate readings.

Hey Harry, I just noticed.. do you need any vacuum tubes for your transmitter or receivers? Radio was a hobby I did for a while and I accumulated a pretty good inventory of tubes.

Hi, Steve,

It's been a couple of months since the last time we were in touch. I got kinda side-tracked for a while with things going on around here.

Tried to use the email option here on the forum to contact you, but both times they bounced and were undeliverable.

Anyway, I was wondering if you have an inventory list of your vacuum tubes. Might be able to use some of them --- I'd like to get a spare set of tubes for my Swan 500CX to keep on hand, and I also have a Heath SB-301 that needs to be just about completely re-tubed.
