Using 30 HB viewfinder with 30 Fuji on XPan 1

Hi All,

I have a chance to buy a 30 Fujinon to go on my XPan 1 but the guy switched out the 30 Fuji viewfinder for the Hassy because the Hassy viewfinder is right above the camera viewfinder whereas the Fuji 30mm viewfinder is over to the right, above the hot shoe. Anyone use both versions, does it make a difference? Also can you tell when a XPan/TX-1 lens was made by the serial number?

I have the 30mm Fujinon and finder. I doubt you will notice a big difference if it is above the lens or the camera viewfinder.
