Using a Micro Nikkor with an Auto-up.

I'm wondering that using a Micro Nikkor 5cm f3.5 with an Auto-up attachment. The lens has same focus range with an Auto-up when it collapsed, So I thought it can be used with the Nikon Auto-up, aka Nikon close up attachment. Or, is it only working correctly on a copy stand? Does anyone tried this before?
