I have both an EP-2 and EM-5 with Olympus 17/2.8 and 45/1.8 lenses. I also have the 14-42 zoom, but have yet to use it.

While "covering" the first day of school event for our parish school's centennial, I found that using the EP-2 and EM-5 together made for a very nice combination.

On the EP-2 I had the 17/2.8 and the VF-1 viewfinder for action and crowd shots. I had the 45/1.8 on the EM-5 for close-ups, head shots and shooting the various speakers on the podium since I could not move in close enough for the 17/2.8. I used the EP-2 with the VF-1 just as you would an RF, while the EM-5 was used more like an SLR. Worked great. I even had "dumbed down" the EM-5 so that only the SCP was shown on the LCD screen and all shooitng was done through the EVF. I even had previews totally disabled so that there was no lag as I was shooting. Felt just like using my trusty old Nikon F.

Anyone with similar experience using the EM-5 together with another camaera?

Quick followup... I now find myself lusting after the Panny 14/2.5 and 20/1.7 and maybe even the 25/1.4 !!!

Mine is similar but with the EP3. OMD has the 20 1.7 or 45 1.8 and EP3 with the 14 2.5. It covers everything I needed for fast moving and event shoots.

I recently used the EP2 and the EPL1 together in a one month long trip to Cairo. I used the 14-42 on oe camera, and tbe Zeiss 85/1.4 on the othrr camera.

I sold my E-P2 but my OMD will be a sidekick to my behemoth D3 when I need 2 bodies for an event. Most likely D3 will be for long glass and OMD for wide/normal.
