VC 12mm 5.6

I'm considering a CV 12 or 15. My "wide angle" now is a 35. Which is better, 12 or 15, for streetshooting w/ B+W in anyone's opinion ?

The other, I am forever getting horrible vignetting from the shade. Actually, less with the 12 than the 15, but I get shadows that replicate the scalloped shape of the shade.

Any one else?

I think the answer to the first one is that I have small hands & feet 😉 so they don't protrude as far, well maybe, but I suspect it's just the way we hold the camera differently. Also, you may be using it with a different body which might encourage a different hold. I'm just using the simple Bessa L body which is quite flat.

As far as the vignetting goes I've not yet had the opportunity to stop down beyond f11 - well it is November here in the UK and light levels are low - as is the sun, hence the pronounced flare in the picture where the sun is actually shining.

Besides I like the effect & it sure saves on the cost of a 77mm polarising filter (plus holder!)

Regards

Andy
