hi there,
since ricoh announced a new finder GV-2 (with the GR-D II), i am wondering which viewfinder to prefer - the GV-2 or the cosina/voigtländer 28/35mm mini finder?
photos of the GR-D II with the GV-2 are shown on 'letsgodigital',
http://www.letsgodigital.org/html/review/ricoh/gr-digital/ricoh-gr-digital-2.html
so i'd be interested for comparison to see a photo of the GRD with the C/V viewfinder attached.
would someone be so kind, please?
cheers,
sebastian

Personally I wouldn't go for the CV finder as it's designed for 3:2 ratio frames and the GRD takes 4:3 ratio photos. Perhaps you could get used to it (or use the GRD's 3:2 mode - but then you're losing pixels top and bottom), but I'd prefer just to use something that works properly.

i'm using the 3:2 mode all the time ...

I use the CV 28-35mm finder on my GRD and find it perfect.I prefer to shoot 3:2 as thats the ratio I am used to from using 35mm film and gives me the shape picture I like to print without cropping.

if i feel the need for a finder i use the zeiss 25/28.
it's a bit big but it seems comfortable enough.
