Last weekend I took the rangefinder out, I had been struggling to finish the roll of tmax I loaded in it when I went to Seattle for a holiday. I was having a really tough time lookin at that veiwfinder, and seeing what was in focus, so Im wondering if theres anyway to 'enhance' the lil thing so I can get the most out of it?

Any thoughts/comments/suggestions?

Also am trying to sit on my hands, I feel GAS coming on in the form of a bessa-r - damn you camera quest  .

On the same vein, I wonder if geling the rangefinder window yellow and the viewfinder window blue, you would increase the contrast and keep the viewfinder patch clear. I would use color correcting filters which would only make a slight color shift, rather than strong filters like the ones used for B&W or color separation.

Some places like B&H used to include Rosco gel samplers in your order if you asked for them. You may be able to get one from the company (my last one was before the internet). They are great to have (if they are still available) as they have almost every filter under the sun. Don't use them in front of a taking lens as they are not optically perfect, but should be fine for the rangefinder (and good for flash units).
