OurManInTangier
An Undesirable
ARGHHHHHHH!!!!!:bang: :bang: :bang: :bang: :bang:
Today I decided I would expand my web presence via Flickr...I'm still waiting to sort my own website out, being a complete moron with computers I'm going to cough up the cash to get someone far far cleverer than myself to do it for me.
I'm not sure how it works for people in other countries or using different service providers but when I registered with Flickr they wanted me to use my yahoo (linked to btinternet.com) email address and internet login.
I duly did - this became my Flickr name, user i.d. or homepage name - whatever they call it. I uploaded five photographs (having watermarked them) and then realised I could change the Flickr name/homepage/user i.d. thing to my - OurManInTangiers name. Once I'd done this I logged off with the intention of picking more images to watermark and upload (nothing new and exciting yet as I was playing with images already on this site.) When I went to log on again it refused to accept either my password or user i.d - it wanted my email address and password, though when I fed it that information it refused to swallow it.
Having emailed my problems through to the "helpdesk" they came back with the standard "follow the instructions, if that doesn't work contact your ISP for your login info" crap!!!:bang:
Now all I want to do is delete the OurManInTangiers Flickr pages and start again - which is proving impossible😡
It's late, i'm angry and I don't understand why it needs to be so seemingly inextricably linked to your email details. Thank goodness for the simplicity of RFF.
So apologies for dumping my stress in a whole new, and likely unread thread, apologies also for the severe overuse of icons😉
If anyone else has had problems with Flickr I'd love to hear them, if everyone thinks I'm a luddite, well, you're probably right.
