Geez, I turn my back on film for a decade and the dirty *******s discontinue one of my favorite films. Now that I'm back in the game, what would you guys recommend for a good replacement? Plus-X in D76?

Also, what's a good alternative to D76 that's available in liquid form?

Thanks!

(edit: had no idea b*st*rd was a forbidden word here!)

Plus X and D76.

Nothing else works as well. Mix a gallon, put into small glass bottles. Use one time a toss it. It lasts 6 months perfectly if you keep air away from it and don`t stir in a bunch when mixing it.

Partial bottles will drive you crazy.

HC110 if you want, but it is not the same.

Thanks! I guess that if I want the D76 look I'd better use D76 eh. :) I didn't know it had such a good shelf life mixed, so really appreciate that info.

Now I have to go unclutter the large closet that will become my darkroom (haven't used the gear since I lived in an apartment...). Then start going at it from scratch again, can't wait!

Welcome to the new Century! I did the same thing, only longer. Turned back and mercury cells & Kodachrome 25 disappeared. Try some Fuji 100 Acros too.

I too love what you can get from Fuji Acros 100...great blacks and creamy whites and a bunch of other stuff in between...
I have been developing it in D-76 @ 1:1
I also have HC-110 and I just bought some Rodinal (which I have never used before)
Any recommendations in using these two developers???
