Let's see if I have this right:
version #1 is the collapsible lens
#2 is the rigid
#3 is an untabbed lens
#4 is a tabbed lens
#5 is the current tabbed lens with built-in hood
also in there, but not given a separate version # is the DR, same as version #2 but with a diff focussing mount
Have I got it right? Can anyone direct me to a website that explains all this?

The current Summicron 50mm isn't tabbed is it? I wouldn't have bought it if it was.

No tab on the current version with built-in hood.

#1 Yes
#2 Yes, also shared the optical formula with the DR, which has a close focus mount and associated eyes. Modified optics from #1
#3 Yes, modified optics from #2
#4 Yes, modified optics from #3
#5 Untabbed, built-in hood, same optics as #4

Thank you, Mike! That's why I was checking. I did not have much knowledge of the newer Summicrons before. I only knew about the collapsible (which I've got) the rigid and the DR.

I also found this, comparing versions 1 (collapsible), 2 (rigid/DR), and 3 (new at the time the article was written.)
