Got the camera on Saturday, loaded it with the first film to hand (Lowly Fuji 400 from Target), Screwed on the Jupiter 8 and went for a walk by a local creek.

Here is the first image from the Bessa. Not a great image just a test, but I can tell I'm going to like this camera!

Scanned, Converted to B&W and saved

Congratulations on your new R. Sneaking up on fishermen, eh? 🙂 Bessa shutter sound test: did he hear you take the picture? 🙂

.
IF he did he didn't react. I actually went to take a picture of the underside of the bridge (my standard test shot) and he was there instead. Focused , snapped, moved on, he never moved at all.

Outdoors, with any sort of ambient noise, and at a distance of 15 feet or so (which is what this appears to be), it's likely he didn't hear it. It seems noisy to us, since it's like 3 inches from our own ears.

Well, not 95%, but maybe 60%. Got use my other stuff, too. But I find the R and the 35/2.5 an ideal carry-about.
