Frank--- I expected it to be something like that. Thanks.
I happen to enjoy trying out different equipment.

If people like FrankS and Raid an many others here didn't use and generously post their carefully considered personal impressions of their many lenses, they would be richer, and so would I. But the RFF community would be a lot poorer for the lack of info!
Thanks gents.

John, I'm happy that you find this interesting/useful!
A new lens is coming that may change things up - a Canon Serenar 35f2.8. See here: http://www.rangefinderforum.com/forums/showthread.php?p=1777751#post1777751

The theme of this thread seems to be contentment. That's a good thing in these turbulent times.

Im happy with my lens choices, if only I could afford them lol.
I should get a piece of cardboard and be that "will work for biogons" guy on the freeway.

Well said. Your tests with Roland provide me with much contemplation and enjoyment. There is satisfaction in learning too!

Ergonomics and signature are important. I have two 50s and two 90s and two 25s. Ultimately I will have one more 50, at least, and another 35, probably a 2.8 Summaron. Maybe I'll want a faster 35 than my Summicron too. The quick light lenses like my 50 Summicron and CV 25 are for fast shooting and carrying. My Zeiss 25 and 21 are for architecture and shots where sharpness might matter a lot. I couldn't live without the Zeiss C Sonnar. My collapsible 90 Elmar has a little haze and gives lovely dreamy shots. It's heavy, but compact. The 90 M is perfect but a little bulkier. I almost never leave the house carrying more than three lenses in my bag, and most times I go out with only one lens.
Ergonomics goes for bodies as well. The M5 is bigger and heavier but great for the 21 and 25 as it is easier to keep dead level, hand held, and easier to keep the film plane parallel to the face of a building. My father would come to my house to repair something with just five tools in a white bucket. He never needed what he hadn't brought, and that was a lot, all neatly arranged in his shed. Photography's the same.

You can never have too many lenses.
That being said, the ones I use on my Rfs are a VC 35 2.5, a 50 Summicron and a VC 21 4 (which is a stunningly good lens). I also have a Jupiter 50 that I often use as its a pretty good lens optically and I love the idea that it cost me less than a decent bottle of bourbon.

I think you can make a big mistake in terms of relationships, careers etc. Not sure if it's possible to make a big mistake with regard to lens ownership.
Nice line up of lenses, I'm considering a 90mm Elmar myself.
I was rather impatient after waiting around for a clean Summar to appear and settled for a Summitar as my second lens.
I'm new to photography and I'm not at the point where I require multiple lenses and/or bodies. I'm afraid I can't say the same is true of my GAS in regards to guitars and other musical instruments.
I think I'm in the early stages of photographer's GAS. Somebody help me. haha.

Sharing the contentment: very happy here with my CV21/4, 35/2 Summicron, Hex-M 50/2 and CV 90/3.5. Nothing if not eclectic.
Would not want to list the ones I've tried and sold!
