Victorious Focus Hunt

Last night I was shooting in a very dark bar with the X-Pro (firmware 2.01). I have to say, I was getting AF confirm in areas where I could barely see my subject, under candle light, through the viewfinder. I feel I was much more successful in such conditions than I had been with my old 5dmkii. I did have some difficulty with the Single AF mode, but Continuous works much better in low light. I was also only using the OVF. I love this camera! 😀

2WK, I agree with your findings. I've been shooting a lot in available darkness (f1.4 @ 6400 ISO) with the X Pro and have had very few instances of focus hunt and not being able to lock on focus. It's not flawless, but the results have been very impressive.

Are you shooting in silent or with focus assist on?

Not exactly in silent mode, but I do turn sounds off, and AF assist off.
Auto3200. 35 1.4. 1/30 or 1/60.
