View from our houses

I live in a high-rise in downtown Philadelphia, with views of the skyscrapers on one side and the sunset(over the buildings of the Univ. of Penn) to the west. I keep a tripod at my window for times like these. Taken with the Contax G2 & Provia 100F.

@Kurt, nice background story about the aviator, thanks for sharing.
@Gerold and Charles: Very nice shots !
@Helen: looks like your neighbours are owl lovers :)

Gerold, your weather and ours has been the same it seems. This is from our living room window, looking across the cul-de-sac on a rainy day too.
This is with Velvia RVP, in the Konica S2.

Charlesfoto: This sure is a great deal of sky you get there on the 14th... it's like having an ever-changing William Turner painting mounted outside the window. I remember having done a longer series of roof-top shots, mounted to a collage, many moons back. I'll post if that one's still around somewhere.

nwcanonman: Very nice rain shot, indeed! The green is fantastic.

Cheers

Looking to the east at sunset from the back yard. Some other lucky family got the rain from the thunderhead.

This was the view from my driveway of the house across the street the day before Hurricane Frances hit. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to get the after shot, yet. Been too busy with clean up and repairs. This house came through with minimal damage. The trees took a pretty good beating though.
