What are people's experience with the spirit level in cold shoe mounted viewfinders? Do the Zeiss Zm finders have one in (I believe not but please confirm). I have the Mamiya 7 43mm +50mm finder which have a spirit level built in, but they are not that great. I am looking for better. Does the Arca Swiss variofinder have one? Cheers Mark

The old Fotoman finders have a external bubble level.

They require the proper mask,

But are they any good? Better than Mamiya? I had a chinese wide angle finder about 5 years ago, it had woeful optics such as stress faults in the glass!

My Zeiss finders (21mm and 25mm) do not have a spirit level.

Viewfinders with spirit level- options
For my combination of CV 15/4.5 + Bessa-L, bought a small round bubble level and glued it to the top of the camera.
A small one about 6mm wide fits snugly between shoe and winder.
However, this is not something I would do with a more precious body.

Rob-F, Thanks. I did not think so. Alpa do one for loads of money. I have a spirt level on the camera already (OK for tripod work) but really want a fecent finder with one in.
