Vintage Nikon F-mount lenses

Thanks guys for posting info about converting pre-AI Nikkors.

There's a couple old Nikkors that don't need conversion, among them is the 5.5cm f3.5 Micro-Nikkor. It goes just fine on a D800, for example, from minimum focus distance to somewhere close to infinity without the rear of the lens touching the camera mount. The aperture mechanism is with the preset ring in the front.

Here's an example from the lens at f/11, this one mounted on a Df.

just arrived today - the vintage looking Nokton 58mm f1.4. Looks a bit like the original Nikkor 58mm f1.4 but promises much better performance - the same formula as the previous Nokton 58mm f1.4.
Haven't had a chance to put is through its paces yet - but a pending stormsytem coming through should offer some opportunities for it.

That would look quite nice on my Df!

I have only one vintage nikkor, the 50/2 H. My other lenses are all multicoated. The colors feel like a movie to me.

Both 50H with D700

I might look for a 28/3.5 H to complement the 50H.
