I had a fun experience today, and figured I'd share with some pics.

A group of British artists is visiting Enschede this week and bringing a Luminarium. It's called 'Miracoco', and is a giant 1.200 square meter inflatable. It's made of silver plastic with red, green and blue accents. Because it's illuminated by sunlight, the inside turns into a giant rainbow.

Some of the rooms are a primary color, others are a blend. The hallways between them is where you encounter a dazzling display of color. Well worth a visit! The artists travel all across the world to display their work, so I'm sure others will get a chance to see it as well.

Shot with an EOS 450D with Samyang fisheye, as well as the Fuji X100S. Hope you don't mind, but I wanted some immediate results. All shots were shot on raw and edited in lightroom to accurately reflect the colors as I saw them.

(Long intro, sorry, but needed some setup)

Large versions are on my flickr.com/bjornkeizers

Yeah, trust me - you don't need it. It's intense enough as it is. You literally feel like you're inside color. They do encourage you to sit / lie down, ponder, meditate, etc.

People who are obviously on 'mood enhancers' are generally not allowed inside. The plastic is actually paper thin, so you don't want some crazy guy running around.

Thanks guys, definitely was a unique experience!

You can find their website at http://www.architects-of-air.com/ where they also post tour dates. Sorry Kendo1 - I don't see an Edinburgh date posted, but they do mention the schedule changes often. So far they've visited 38 countries and this was their second time in Enschede.

PKR: Thanks, I actually went out on that day specifically to shoot it with a decent sky. We've had weather between 'total overcast' and 'total blue sky' the past week, and I like a bit of fluff in my skies.

It was indeed a *very* intense color-experience. And if anything, the photo's are underselling the actual variety and intensity of color.

It's something you need to experience yourself. If you like light and color, it's amazing.
