I bought 2 Visoflex units 2 years ago for my M8. I bought a Visoflex 2 without a finder for $75 USD MINT. I bought a Visoflex 3 on Ebay
MINT for $175 with finder. Today I went on EBAY and I see a Visoflex 3 with finder for well over $600 USD!!! WOW!!!!
I must say that for me, the Visoflex is very useful. Aside from the advantages for Telephoto work, the Visoflex is a wonderful tool for Macro work. I tried it with the Noctilux f1.0, and boy, what a dreamy other world like look. Ill post some pics.
Full frame on the M9 means no cropping on the Visoflex. This has the obvious advantages. Are collectors charging more to each other or is the price going up because people who have bought an M9 or are thinking about one need the Visoflex to give the M9 greater versatility and value?
I am happy I bought when I did!!!( I also significantly upgraded my Leica M collection. Used on Ebay obviously. I feel like I cashed in!! Value!!)

I think they haven't appreciated much, if at all. And yes, one can list on eBay anything on any price, it's a matter of finding a buyer, not a reflection of going market value.

I think it is more like prices are all over the place; always have been. Just yesterday I could buy a Visoflex2 with chimney finder for 100 Euro.

I just bought a Viso II Mirror Box for $75 in mint condition.
Prices are all over the place. I really enjoy using my Visoflex
system, it make my M cameras so much more useful to me.
And it's fun to use!

I gather you can't use the Viso II with the Viso II right angle finder on an M8/9. Is this correct? But can you use the Viso II with the Viso III right angle finder on the digital M's?
Thanks for help with this

It does seem prices have crept up some but I can't imagine it is what it appears. I bought a viso I for 35 with a nice 45 degree finder just a month ago and a nice I with a 5X magnifier for a little more. Now to get a bellows, which I have seen all over the place as far as price goes.
Should be fun with the 9.

Yes you can use the Visoflex 2 but with the Visoflex 3 finder only. The verticle chimney finders are all ok.

I've also noticed a slight tilt to the upside as well on Viso prices, which had gotten pretty low. I suppose anyone who can afford an M9 can easily afford a Viso 3 with a lens or two and adapters.

Yes, should be able to afford a viso and a lens or two but it is fun to get on the cheap, at least for me. I think it is great that a viso I can now have new life also.

I have equipment disease! Just bought a Visoflex Bellows for my M8!!!
I have equipment disease! Just bought a Visoflex Bellows for my M8!!!
I must say the M8 I bought in 2007 has caused me to invest in all kinds of used Leica gear off of Ebay. In fact, I bought more Leica lenses and attachments since I bought my M8 than when I first bought a used M6 (
well, I was still in school, and I am in my 40's now. Must be the mid life thing!).
At any rate, I bought a mint Visoflex bellows for my Visoflex 2/3 just for the hell of it. Not that I do to much macro work, but it looks like a really neat piece of equipment. Built like a tank! It is mint, including a Visoflex 2 for $150 USD. I could not resist.
So who has this beast, and uses it with the M8 or M9? Any thoughts on alternative lenses? Looks like something I can experiment with and have alot of fun!

I will be using my 135 f4 Elmar when I get a bellows. I do enjoy macro and with Leica it can't be beat. With live view this would be a match made in heaven but without that, it still can be great.
