Hi, I just bought a Vitessa T, But the shutter wont open. Can some one please tell me how to get to the shutter so I can lightly oil it.. Thanks, Gary...

I don't have a clue how to open your camera, but I doubt you want to oil it. Clean it yes, but I don't think oil. It will cause them to stick from the get go. Even worse later when they collect more dust and gunk. Most leaf shutters must be dry, although I have heard some recommend graphite used very sparingly. Again, it can get around other places in the camera. When you figure out how to get in, lighter fluid is probably what you need to clean things. Some of the linkage may need spots of oil, not the blades.

Be patient. At RFF, there is bound to be someone who has done it or knows the url to get to a site that explains it.

By "oil" you might mean "lighter fluid"? You know, cameras and cars are not the same thing ;-P

You may need to remove the film-counter panel, it will allow access to shutter cocking, film advance mechanism...

You probably already know, but just in case...The shutter on old Voigtlanders will not activate (open) unless there is film in the camera.
