Hi,
I just received a Vivitar 35CA. I understand it is all automatic. How do you adjust the ring for the flash? I see how to move the ring so flash lines up with GN FT 160 90 45 32 25. The back of the camera has a graph with the different film speeds down the side, and along the top 300, 700, 1300, 2000, 3000. In the graph are those Guide Numbers. I don't get it to be honest. Also when you adj the ring for the flash, you limit the amount you can move the lens. I know it should make sense. It don't.
Its kinda a neat little Rangefinder. Very Compact. The light meter works.
Thanks,
Keith

My guess is that the camera has a "flashmatic" system: When you are using flash, you line up with the GN. Then the aperture adjusts automatically according to the distance that you set.
