Hi, I'm new to the forum(but I read you for a long time) and to the Leica system. I would like to make a silly question, all Leica M is the same mount system? Because I want to buy a Voigtländer lens from an M2 owner.

Thanks.

Yes, this lens is Leica m mount. Any Voightlander lens in their VM range is Leica M mount.

Actually, there are LTM (Leica Thread Mount) and VM (Voigtlander's Leica M-mount) versions of the 35/2.5 Color-Skopar. So, depending on the version, you may need and LTM-M adapter. If you post a photo of the lens, one of us can tell you what version it is and if you'd need an adapter.

Be patientI don't know if is VM so this is an M mount ?

Yes, You ask right 😱. I never had one, and too many names 39X1, LTM, M mount. My 35Rc is fixed lens 😉 If I can ask do you notice any problem with the lens in the picture?
Thanks.

On provided picture the M mount is intact and so is glass. It doesn't looks like it is broken. To see if glass or lens body have some other problems differently taken photo is needed.

Back to Leica and been long time reading this forum, M2 owner here means must trustable and nice person on Earth, just like 35RC regular owner. 🙂
In other words, if this lens was in use on M2, it shouldn't be a problem. Especially this lens. I had all three versions. Well, one which is one the pictures is prone to have focus tab and lens block getting loose if lens is in heavy use.

OK. the seller doesn't know how to take lens glass picture, plus, on the last picture it looks like vertical scratches and on the rear element picture it looks like owner lives in dusty shack and has no rocket blower. And it is the best case scenario for rear element picture of this lens.
The focus tab... I'm really impressed! I had this lens as the only lens on M4-2 for two years, exposed bulk loads of film with this kit, but I didn't managed to get it to the bare metal.
Yet, it is first Scopar I ever seen with this hood for sale so far.
My verdict, the lens and its pictures all together with LH-4 hood are worth of 200 USD.

Thank you so much, I do not think I will buy it. I do not want to start my journey in the Leica world in a negative way.

I have same opinion about this copy. We will leave it for students with M2 in similar condition. Here is nothing wrong with it. Bottom priced gear due to condition.

But. It is well made, optically problems free, classic, nice and compact lens. Easy to find used in not trashed condition and one, if not most affordable as new 35mm M lens.

Yes, in Italy I have not found many, but I'm no want to rush and pick a lens in bad condition.

I sold my ltm copy of this lens for 320eur and got a VM version for 350eur, due to the close focus distance of 0.7m (instead of 0.9 at the ltm without focus lever) and the focus tab. Both lenses were in good condition and only had slight wear on the focus/aperture ring.
I recommend checking used market and maybe some auction sites for this lens.
It might be rather slow, but I like the results it produces: https://www.rangefinderforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=97500
