I just won the Voigtländer Vitessa T with the Color-Skopar f/2.8 50mm lens on eBay. Meter is working but accuracy is unknown. I've never used this camera and found the owners manual on Butkas site.
Any sample shots from this model? and any tips on using this camera??

The camera arrived yesterday and after a quick shutter cleaning and adjustment which restored the slow shutter speeds I have it loaded and ready. Meter tests look good with it checking out with a couple of my known accurate handheld meters.

Looking Good! I had an L (barn door version), and loved it's quality, and ease of use.

Really nice condition. Only tip I have really is to not pop the plunger up and then back down without taking a picture (or try not to) with film in. I was showing my L off a lot, and got a couple frames touching.

I guess maybe that doesn't apply to the T. If the plunger is up it has to be wound on...?

The only mark I can find on this camera is a small bright mark on the tripod ring..
My understanding is even when setting the plunger to the stowed position it winds the film and finishes the winding once you press it down to release it..

Looks good, colyn. The Color-Skopar is a great lens.

No complaints here..
It was 104 today so you can imagine how hot it was inside that tower..

The Vitessa T was one of my lust for cameras back in the late 60's IIRC
and never got one. Recently I saw one for $150 and I might just go back
and see if it's still there. I still looks great!

They're gorgeous, beautifully made cameras BUT that wind-on can gum up over the decades. Gentle but prolonged exercise will usually un-gum them. I had a "bomb doors" with the f/2 (even nicer than the T, in my book) but I sold it when I decided to stick with my Leicas and Nikons and play with rather fewer cameras.

Thats the one I have. An L with 50/2 Ultron and a very accurate meter. I used it during my Switzerland vacation and right there the film advance got unreliable. I currently have it fixed as it is such a great camera to use, with a decent finder and an awesome lens that is in Summicron league.

Bessamatic forever!
the Vitessa T is a great cam and I would have bought one if Voigtländer hasn't been that stupid to use a different lens mount then the Bessamatic!!!
Kodak has shown how it could be done a Reflex and a RF with the same mount.
That´s why I bought a Kodak Retina III S insted a Vitessa T and use the lenses sometimes on my voigtländer Bessamatic too.
The other way using Voigtländer lenses on the Retina is nearly senseless, because the Voigtländer lenses don´t have the RF notch to couple the RF .
They digg their own grave with this stupidity!!!

Nothing stupid here just 2 different camera types..

But not all are interchangible. Only the ones with the cutout for the rf pin..

Two different camera makers. Why would they make lens to fit their competitors cameras..

Interestingly, on my (Slightly broken) Bessamatic, it's 50mm Color-Skopar-X does have a rangefinder cut out, and a slopping brass (cam? Rim? I'm not sure about the correct word here..

However it doesn't have to the framelines notch, but I'm sure that could easily be machined on, just as you can machine a Bessamatic lens to fit the Retina!
Craig.
that would be interesting!
Chris sherlock mentioned sometimes that it should be possible to do this but I got no replay for further information.
