Voigtlander 15/4.5 15mm

FWIW - For my LTM 15mm version, I modified the 12mm filter adapter in the manner described on another forum by putting heat shrink tubing on the clamp ring.

The clamp ring removes easily (1st pic), slip the tube over ~ 2/3s of the ring (full coverage is too much). Heat with a match, replace the ring and it slips on the lens and clamps as if manufactured for the lens.

The adapter holds 77mm filters.

You can see in pic 2 how much additional clearance the new round VF allows on the IIIf speed dial - the square VF has much less.

Great shot Tony,

I've started using this lens a while ago....and it has not come off my camera since!

I set aperture around f8 and set focus to 1 metre and get near perfect photo's all the time without even looking through the finder... great for stealth photography.

I sold the early screw mount 12mm heliar to purchase the new rangefinder coupled M-mount 15mm when it first came out. Being in the Architectural profession, this lens is on my camera 90% of the time. Now that the new rangefinder coupled 12mm heliar is out I am seriously thinking about buying it again. The 15mm on the M8 works as a 20mm so I use the Leica 21mm viewfinder. These are a couple of shots. The exterior shot of the school, was taken from a basket lift.

Also started experimenting with the 15 on an M8.2

ltm version

M mount 15 II

In the end I got the 15 4.5 II as it is rangefinder coupled and black which is same color as my M8.2, btw, I got the 21 finder as well.

Nice shots.

Question. Can i use the 35/135 LTM-M adapter to 6bit code the lens or do i need the 28 ltm-M version? Mr Reid suggests coding it as a WATE.
