Voigtlander 28mm Viewfinder M question...

Most reviews / sales sites list the specifications of the new metal Voigtlander 28mm finders as follows:

Type: Albada-type inverted Galilean finder
Lens construction: 3 groups 3
Viewfinder magnification: 0.43
Standard diopter:-1.0D
Weight: 51 g
Others: with parallax correction mark

The German site (www.voigtlaender.de) gives the following details:

Type: Reverse Gaileo Finder
Lens Construction: 5 lenses in 4 groups
Magnification: 0.5x
Viewfinder Diopter: -1.0
Weight: 28 g
Auxiliaries: symbol for parallax compensation

Both listings are for the current 28mm version of the metal external viewfinder (this is not the discontinued plastic version). Does anyone know which is correct and/or if there was a "recent" change in the specifications?

Well, I don't have a scale but I'm pretty sure that mine weighs more than 28 grams! It is a pretty hefty and solid little thing. Not sure about the other specs. I can tell you that I like mine, but it does have quite a bit of barrel distortion.

The ".de" site lost some credibility with their listing of 28g ( 1g / mm) ;-)
I have the 28mm in silver and it weighs in at 48.8g... +1 about the distortion...

Seems the data on their website was out of date ;-). In the mean time I purchased the silver version and looking forward to use it in the next day or so...

Just beware of those metal Voigtlander finders if you wear glasses - unlike the Zeiss finders they don't have a rubber surround and can cause a lot of damage.
