We did a 3 1/2 week road trip in May 2025 to Scotland, the Lake District, North Wales, and Dorset, with the first ten days devoted to Scotland. I took the Leica CL digital and made many photos with the W Nikkor C 35mm f2.5 in LTM mount. Great lens! And tiny, too! But looking back over these photos made w the Skopar 35, I wonder whether I should have taken that lens instead… or as well.

Nice images, Steve. I'm guessing the Color Skopar is probably a better corrected lens, particularly considering the age difference between it and the Nikkor, but I love that Nikkor and its slightly faster relative, the f1.8. Just something very satisfying about using it and the images it makes.

Thanks, Bruce! I was very happy with the images I made on this trip with the Nikkor 35/2.5, but the Color Skopar surprises me each time I break it out.
