I didnt see a thread for images from Nokton 40mm lens, so why not start one - after all it's a good lens at a great price. I dont have many from mine yet, but hope other users of it will add some here.

I love this lens, just wished my leica m6 had 40mm framelines..gets a little annoying trying to guess the frame each time. Film was fujifilm pro400h rated at 200 asa

Only had my Nokton SC for a couple of months and it is a god performer. I went shooting again at the weekend with it and although I got some good shots I'm not sure about the focal length (60mm) on the RD1. I seem to have a problem framing with it, often finding my compositions leaning to one side. Odd really as i don't tend to have this problem with my other CV lenses. Most likely my poor framing than anything to do with the lens, so maybe I need more practice with it.. I can't see me shooting this as my standard lens on the RD1 although I know many do. I normally shoot a CV 28/2 Ultron. A lens well worth the money though.

This was my first rangefinder lens, and while I don't have it any more, I miss it often.

Your M6 does in fact have 40mm framelines, for the "35mm" framelines are closer to 40mm (especially when the subject is near the camera).

Great photos, everyone!. I'm really surprised that Cosina made a 35/1.4 and is able to sell it - as good as CV 40/1.4 is and much cheaper too. Oh, I know - it's the HUGE difference between 35mm and 40mm, right?
Well, the 35/1.4 Nokton has one more element than the 40, so presumably more expensive to make. And, more recently introduced CV lenses have generally been more expensive than previous lenses. The 35 is more recent than the 40...
