If I may ask, what frame lines does the 40mm Nokton VM lens bring up on a Leica Rangefinder like an M4? 50mm, 35mm, what frame lines show up in the viewfinder of a Leica M film camera when this lens is attached.

Great photos Mike - keep them coming.

Tim, both the 40/1.4 and 1.2 bring up the 50mm frames.
This works for me I just think of think as the lens as a 50mm with extra space, so frame just beyond the edge of then frame-lines.

Or you can tape the preview lever in the 35mm position so you get framelines slightly larger than what the lens will capture. I have been finding it more interesting to shoot it that way, vs using the 50mm framelines as I did for the first 3 months with it.
